Trace Bureau was founded by a working UK investigator who has spent years locating people for solicitors, creditors, landlords and executors, and who was tired of watching firms pay hundreds of pounds for an address in an email with no date, no confidence rating and no accountability. Trace Bureau is the fix: one price, charged only on a find, and a report you can rely on.
How we work
Every instruction is read by a person before any work starts. We record the lawful basis, decline anything that does not have one, and then trace: more than 150 sources, registers and records, cross-referenced against each other rather than trusting a single database. A person builds the picture and a person signs it off. You receive a dated PDF report stating the address at which the person is currently registered, with a confidence rating that tells you how strong the evidence is.
What we will not do
- Name our sources or explain our method. A good locksmith does not either.
- Take money before there is a result. Your card is saved at instruction and charged only when we deliver a current registered address.
- Trace anyone for a personal reason without their consent, or for anything that looks like harassment.
- Collect debts, conduct surveillance, or pretend a Possible result is a confirmed one.
Who is behind it
Trace Bureau is the trading name of a limited company registered in England and Wales and registered with the Information Commissioner's Office; the registered details are on the company details page. It is run by its founder, a professional investigator, with the software built in-house so that instructing, tracking, reporting and invoicing are as careful as the tracing itself.
