How it works

Five minutes to instruct. Nothing charged until we find them.

Every case is read by a private investigator before work starts and worked by one until the address is verified. Here is exactly what happens.

You instruct us online
Full legal name plus a date of birth or a previous address. Anything else you know helps: other names, approximate age, phone numbers, employer, family. You tell us why you need the address and confirm you accept our terms. If you also want a mobile number or an email address, tick them as optional extras; you do not need them for the trace to go ahead.
We save your card, without charging it
You enter card details once. They are held by our payment provider, not by us. Nothing is charged at this point.
We check your instruction
If the purpose has no lawful basis, or looks like harassment, we decline and nothing is charged. If we need something from you, we ask.
We trace
More than 150 sources, registers and records, cross-referenced against each other. Not a single database query. A private investigator builds the picture, verifies the address and signs it off before it is released.
Found: you are charged and the report unlocks
The saved card is charged and the report appears on your tracking page and in your inbox: the current registered address and our confidence rating, dated. You pay the trace fee, plus an optional extra only if you ticked it and we found one on file.
Not found: no charge
If we cannot establish a current registered UK address, we tell you, and nothing is charged. There is nothing to refund because nothing was taken.

What the fee covers, and what is optional

Included in every trace	The current registered UK address, a confidence rating, the date it was verified, a PDF report and a tracking page.
Optional extra	Mobile number, £30. Only if you tick it, and only charged if one is on file and found.
Optional extra	Email address, £30. Only if you tick it, and only charged if one is on file and found.
Optional extra	Property ownership, £30. Who owns the address we find according to HM Land Registry: the person, jointly, or someone else. Only if you tick it, and only charged with a find.

A trace runs the same whether or not you add an extra. If you tick one and we do not find it, you pay the trace fee alone.

Confirmed	Two or more independent current sources agree on the address.
Probable	Strong evidence from one current source with supporting indicators.
Possible	The best available lead. We say so plainly, and we do not charge the full fee for a Possible result unless you choose to take it.
