What every report contains
- Our reference and your matter reference.
- The subject as instructed: name, date of birth or previous address, other names given.
- The address at which the person is currently registered according to the records checked.
- The confidence rating, with the three definitions printed on the report.
- The date the address was verified and that it was checked by a person.
- The purpose recorded and the permitted use of the result.

Dated and rated
Every report states the date and how strong the evidence is. If service is challenged a year later, the file shows what was known and when.
Signed statement on request
For a certificate or statement of service, or an application for alternative service, a signed statement of what was done, in generic terms, at no extra charge on the professional list.
Re-check within 60 days
Reason to think they have moved since the report? We check again and reissue at no charge within 60 days.

What does Confirmed, Probable and Possible mean?
Confirmed means two or more independent current sources agree. Probable means strong evidence from one current source with supporting indicators. Possible means the best available lead, which we tell you rather than dress up, and which is offered at half the fee and never charged unless you choose to take it.
Does the report say how you found the address?
It carries a fixed statement that the result comes from more than 150 sources, registers and records, cross-referenced and checked by a person. It does not name sources or describe method, for the same reason a good locksmith does not.
What is the signed statement?
A short statement, signed by the tracer, of what was instructed, the date, the address established and the confidence rating, for exhibiting where a report on its own is not enough. On request and at no extra charge on the professional list.
What is the 60-day re-check?
If you have reason to think the person has moved within 60 days of the report, we check again at no charge and issue an updated report.
What arrives on a no-find?
A short dated note of what was checked and what it showed, with nothing invoiced. Firms use it to support an application to serve by an alternative method or to record reasonable efforts on an estate.
Where is the report kept?
In your portal against the case, with a PDF for the file, for the life of the account. Single instructions keep a private tracking link. Instruction and result data is otherwise kept for 12 months.
